Where, Oh Where Is Just Me

Here I am! Back from...oh wait, I can't tell you. Nerd Man has insisted that I keep this as anonymous as possible...Oh, well. I am here now!

Our Home Teacher called a couple of night ago, end of the month you know. He wanted to stop by and visit with us. Ummmm, we haven't been to church in over two years, we have declined several calls to come meet with the Bishop, ignored numerous Primary invitations, plus the fact that we have never even met this man; sure come on over! NOT! Nerd Man actually took the call, he kindly told Brother Eager that this wasn't a good time and promised to call if we need anything.

Just Me: Why didn't you just tell him that we attend the Methodist Church up the street and are very happy with our choices in life? You could even have invited him to attend church with us.

Nerd Man: Are you kidding me? Do you really want to be inundated with homemade baked goods, preserves and copies of the Ensign? As soon as we put them on alert that we are out, not just inactive they will be on us like flies on manure!

Just Me: Did you just compare us to horse poop?

LMAO!! Ah, memories... What fun I used to have with the unsuspecting members that called me or stopped by to tell me how much they missed/loved me. Like you, I never knew any of them.
Now, I actually feel sorry for the poor saps. I wonder if they draw straws to see who in the ward has to befriend the inactives?

I just stumbled upon your blog. I'm so glad your one with your husband. Your done- every thing should be downhill from here (theoretically speaking). Once you're on the same page with your spouse you've accomplished the most important step. next step is getting the hereticism by your parents and in-laws. once you figure that out, let me know! Good luck on your journey, Just me!

How sad that your whole blog is about mormonism. You can't judge any church by it's members or their way of doing things. All churches have wackos. For some reason nobody cares if there is a weird Catholic or Methodist, but everyone loves to talk about "the mormons." The fact is we are all people, with different thoughts and actions. Don't judge the church by it's people. So you left the church. Great. Get on with your life.

I just wanted to let you know - I wasn't offended by your comments about my post. It was the anonymous crazies that freaked me out a little.

I DID feel badly that my Aspergers remarks were offensive. I'm good at putting my foot in my mouth, as you may have noticed.
